Please join us in congratulating David Fraga as the recipient of the February 1999 Asprey Award. The award is funded by a generous donation from Bob and Jo Asprey and given monthly in recognition of C&N employees who have displayed outstanding service. Bob was an employee of C&N during the 1970’s and 1980’s and still understands the challenges our university gives us.
David started with Computing and Networking as a student employee in June 1995 at the Help Desk. Since that time David has filled a variety of roles at C&N, and in each, has been a person that could be counted on to get the job done. In the summer of 1996 David moved to Workstation Support as an student webmaster, and then returned to the Help Desk in November of 1997 as a full time staff member. In these various roles David developed a multitude of web sites, created many web authoring workshops, solved a wide variety of computer user problems, and provided consistent listserv and email account administration. Just recently David was promoted to Programming Analyst I to support administrative applications.
David enjoys playing basketball, and is winner of three Gus Macker trophies. He enjoys a variety of other sports as well. He also volunteers his time to help coach a kid’s soccer team. David contributes at work and in the community.
